Located in lovely Spring Creek, Nevada, Sage Elementary has the feel of a small town with the convenience of popular destination cities just hours away. There is so much to see and do here! From the Humboldt National Forest to the south to the Wild Horse Reservoir State Recreation Area to the north, Elko County is surrounded by the most stunning sites Nevada has to offer!

Our town is family friendly, with plenty of outdoor recreation areas and playgrounds to enjoy. Whether you’re a native to the area or you’ve just moved in, we hope you will make yourself at home in our amazing community!

Our History

We began as a small school of trailers in 1990, serving just first through third grades. In the fall of 1991, we added kindergarten and fourth grade. One year later, in the fall of 1992, we added fifth grade. The following year we added sixth grade, which was eventually moved to middle school.

Fast forward to 2004 when our current building opened. We’ve certainly come a long way from our humble beginnings, but our mission has remained the same.

Our Mission

We believe that “Sage leaders Achieve Greatness Every day through hard work, responsibility, and respect.” The elementary years serve as a stepping stone and foundation to mastering the skills our students will need later on in life. Every interaction on campus is an opportunity to “achieve greatness every day!”

School Performance Plan

School Performance Plans (SPPs) are a component of a larger Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) that schools engage in throughout the school year.

SPPs contain detailed information about practices and strategies being implemented at each school in Elko County School District. Each plan identifies goals and action steps designed to improve learning for all students.

PTA

We don't know what we would do without our amazing parent-teacher association (PTA)! The PTA helps Sage Elementary with fundraisers, selling school spirit apparel, making popcorn one Friday per month, and helping with the needs of the school in general. The Sage Elementary PTA meets on the third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the art room. We invite you to attend any meeting at your convenience. Dues are $10 per member. You can even pay your membership dues online. The PTA is always in need of volunteers. If you wish to join or are willing to volunteer your time to Sage Elementary, please contact one of our friendly PTA officers.

PTA Officers

We’re incredibly grateful for our PTA officers. Get to know them at our monthly meetings, and be sure to thank them for all they do!

Why Choose Us

Our goal is to provide a rich educational experience with a curriculum that equips our students for success. We select our teachers and staff with care, keeping in mind that every interaction they have with your child is a chance to impact a young mind in a positive way. We believe each student is an individual with unique needs and learning styles. With that in mind, we offer a range of choices and opportunities to ensure our students don't just learn but thrive.
